The future will be synthesised. Artificial intelligence brings all sort of legal, political and ethical implications. Most are not even new. The technology only increasses the pressure to address the weaknesses of our compromises. Case in point: copyright law.
The BBC headline beautifully captures the essence of that debate, and in particular, the increasing difficulty (and dangers) of distinguishing fact from fiction. By the way, the paradise of (bad) politicians.

It’s nice to see how art is leading this new revolution. Puritans and convervatives insist that current technology is not very good at depicting certain body parts, especially hands… or for that matter, scientific papers written with the help of ChatGPT.
I can only imagine them circa 1450 A.D. explaining us that novels (yet to come) published with the help of a printing press would never match the beauty of hand written manuscripts, just like an old friend of mine saying around that same date 😉 that a hand blender could never match the quality of the mayonnaise made by her mother’s hands.
Abandon all hope.
On September 10th, 2023, Redditor /r/Ugleh posted the image. Now, it’s spiralling out of control ;). I am with Paul Graham: The Spiral Town is the point where AI-generated art has passed the Turing Test for me.

It will take time to reach a PEACE agreeement with AI.

If we don’t reach it, we’ll just OBEY.

Is it OKAY?

The future will be synthesised. Enjoy it!
